Tea in the Sahara

I’m dabbling with another bit of adventure over on the Drop Knee section. Pareena - a colleague of mine - plans to do a 100km hike through the Sahara in less than four weeks.
Only one minor hurdle: there’s a price to pay…

Drop Knee Ep 14 out again and again

Last night I posted Drop Knee (Zambia) episode 14.
Sometimes I remember to have a look (or listen) at my own podcasts. This is not out of vanity at all, but just to make sure everything went as smoothely as I had planned. Good idea! I realised I never ...

I would agree with you, if you hadn't used climbing as a comparisson, that freels like more of a dig rather than a well thought out comparrison.

Going on the same lines you could say (about Golf) you can include clay pigon shooting, archery, chess and bowling. For the same reasons.

That doesn't make then non-sports now does it.

Glad you guys made it back! Was it cold? Just maybe? (Joke, joke!) I do hope you missed that &&^#%$@ rock I sprained my ankle on -- the same ankle I sprained again last year, and the same one that is even now in bandages. But it was worth it! (And thanks again, Tom, for carrying my pack!)

Hope you took lots of pictures. Yep, it certainly is a beautiful area. And of course, the quiet...

Welcome back!

Way to go, Tom! It has been many, many years ago that we went up the 'Berg, and yep, I'll never forget the Bannerman's Pass trip. Man, it was cold! I was looking at the pictures just the other day of our last trip and thinking to myself how bloody tough I found it (sprained my ankle coming down Mont-aux-Sources on the last flippen km).

Good times. But just be careful, although I know you've done more than one snow trip.
